Geoffrey King was born in San Francisco and raised in the nearby city of Vallejo. Geoff is a graduate of Vallejo public schools, Diablo Valley Community College, UC Berkeley, and Stanford Law School. Geoff has photographed political protests across the United States and in Britain since the first day of the Iraq War. In 2005 he traveled to Bosnia to document the ongoing search for missing persons in the context of the tenth anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre.

When Geoff is not making pictures, he is a privacy law lecturer at UC Berkeley and civil liberties attorney.
